How Roamly handles your information

What we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have over your data.

Last updated August 1, 2026

01

What we collect

Account information: your name and email address when you sign up, and the password you set (stored as a one-way hash we cannot reverse).

Trip information: the descriptions, travel style, preferences, and any specific waypoints you give Roamly when building a route, and the routes Roamly produces for you. This is the core of what you store with us.

Usage information: which features you use and when, error reports, and which pages on roamly.one you visit. We use this in aggregate to find and fix problems and understand where the product is working well.

02

How we use it

To build your routes. When you ask Roamly to plan a trip, your trip description and preferences are sent to a model provider to produce the route. We do not retain the full request-response exchange beyond what is stored as your saved route.

To run the service. We use your account information to authenticate you, to charge you if you are on a paid plan, and to send you emails you asked for, such as receipts and password resets. If you opted into product updates, we use your email for those too.

To find and fix problems. We look at aggregate and anonymized usage patterns to understand where Roamly is working well and where it is not. We do not use your trip content to train any model.

03

Model providers

Roamly routes trip planning requests through one or more model providers. When you ask for a route, your trip description and the preferences you provided are sent to the model provider to produce the output. This is the only reason your trip data is sent to a third party.

We operate under agreements with our model providers that prohibit them from using your data to train their models. Your trip content is not sold to any third party.

04

Cookies

Roamly uses essential cookies only: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a security token that protects against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies, or tracking pixels.

More detail is on the cookies page at roamly.one/cookies.

05

Data retention

Your trips stay in our database until you delete them. Your account information stays until you delete your account. After you delete your account, your data is removed from our live database within 30 days.

We retain server logs for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes. These contain request metadata but not your trip content.

06

Your rights

You can export all your trip data as a JSON file from Your data or from Settings at any time. No request is needed.

You can delete any individual trip from its trip screen. You can delete your whole account from Settings, which removes your account record, all your trips, and your history from our database.

To ask questions about your data or make a request under applicable privacy law, email privacy@roamly.one.

07

Children

Roamly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have done so in error, email privacy@roamly.one and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we collect or use personal information, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify you by email at least 14 days in advance.
